What Advice Can You Give Me, is a book that looks at the answers with the advice of different people to the same set of questions. Everyone in life knows at least one thing better than anyone else. Taking the time to actually ask someone the simple request of offering their advice on a given subject, can be truly profound. Because the set of questions was always the same, it is truly a unique sociological look into the similarities and differences that all people share. It was an eye opening experience to see just how surprised and excited people were when I met with them and let them know I didn't need anything from them other than their advice. In fact, I'd say that every single person I spoke with, was grateful to pass along their piece of advice. Almost as if each indvidual I spoke with felt as if no one had ever really asked them that before. They seemed surprised almost that someone was asking for not only their opinion, but for their advice. Their surprise alwasy quickly turned to excitement to answer. To express. To talk freely to me. Which may have taught me more than the answers to the questions themselves. Everyone wants to feel wanted and needed in life. It is amazing how simply asking for someone's advice can make them feel this way. That is why I had to write this book. So that not only I had a chance to hear the advice that others were so graciously offered me, but anyone who is looking to become a better human being can as well. I hope that anyone who takes the time to enjoy the advice in this book can truly understand the power of simply listening to your friends and loved ones.
