Six years ago, Bruce Moffatt was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. To keep friends and family updated on his health and the ever-changing challenges of this chronic disease, he sent emails to about fifty people in the 'friends and family' circle. The feedback on Bruce's writing and communication skills was both flattering and encouraging. Bruce was soon convinced that his written words could help someone else battling this illness. Hence Rock, Paper, Scissors was born.

Bruce shares glimpses of his life with the reader. And he writes about his doctors, the medications, and all of the treatments he has endured.

This book offers an opportunity to share Bruce's experiences in dealing with Multiple Myeloma on a daily basis. It is not an authoritative medical journal, nor an outline for expectations regarding a personal course of treatment. We are all unique, and the way cancer affects similar individuals can be dramatically different. Rock, Paper, Scissors is simply a way to share Bruce's experiences with the hope that the reader can gain some encouragement and insights on dealing with the physical, emotional, and medical journey that lies ahead.

Bruce's love of family and friends is contagious. And his positive attitude over the last six years has been nothing short of amazing. Rock, Paper, Scissors is the journey of one man fighting the fight to save his life.
