Guided by the relevant theories, this book summarizes the experience and lessons of weeding the university library collection at the University of International Business and Economics (Bejing, China). The first part of the book discusses the administrative procedures for the collection weeding, the outsourcing of the project, the four principles of weeding, and the relevant weeding-related references. In the second part, a template for special documents required in outsourcing the weeding project is provided, which aims to provide a valuable reference for the weeding of library collections at similar academic institutions.
