Endodontics is currently in the midst of its own "Industrial Revolution". The advent of Nickle titanium files, Rotary instrumentation, Endosonics in Endodontics, Radiovisiography, the Endoscope and Clinical Microscope are but a few innovations that have changed the way in which endodontics is practiced. This progress has increased both productivity and quality of care.Improved instruments and equipment have contributed to the quality of care. On the other hand, the complexity of the cases being treated by both general dentists and endodontists in increasing with the result that new problems are being created. "Re-treatodontics and disassembly" are the new terms that have arisen as the profession attempts to correct these new problems, or procedural mishaps as they are called.The purpose of this is to present common mishaps and the treatment approaches for managing them.
