It is known that the industrial methods of obtaining such sorbents are polycondensation, polymerization, and copolymerization of monomers with different functional groups. Chelating polymer sorbents are widely used to concentrate and separate trace amounts of elements. The future development of their use is related to their high selectivity and effective effect in concentrating elemental ions from solutions with complex chemical compositions. Sorbents are non-toxic, long-lasting, and easy to transport.
