Snatched Sweetheart

Janet was a good friend of mine and she also lived in my neighbourhood. She was a nursing mother as she had just given birth to a pair of twins. As fate would have it however, one of the babies died a few days later. She was devastated by her child's death and in a terrible mood as a result. Every now and then, I visited her just to make sure she was not too depressed. She was a single mother because the father of her kids had refused to acknowledge the pregnancy.I left Janet's house and went home to meet my elder brother. I hadn't seen him in a while, and I was happy to see him again. He told me he had been sent by my elder sister to come and get me. He said we would leave the exceptionally following day.
