Mont'e Montressa Cunningham Wright referred to as the King of Diamonds, or Kid Rock Star has been singing for virtually his entire life. His professional reputation began around the age of thirteen when his mother Betty Wright, became his instructor and mentor and gave him the courage and confidence to become singer, rapper, songwriter, and businessman. By the age of seven, he was already learning and singing gospel, rap, hip-hop, and R&B. He started writing songs by the age of twelve. He has musical inspiration embedded in his roots, from his grandfather, who had starred in a late 60's gospel quartet, his aunt, an international blues artist, and his mentor and mother, Ms Betty Wright.
