Luke House is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (Conditional) with a private practice in Windham, Maine, and a Cold Star Brother after the death of his younger brother, Sgt. Joel House, who died while serving in Iraq in 2007. Since Joel's death, Luke has been involved with the founding and operation of House in the Woods, a Maine non-profit started by his father, that brings veterans and their family members on healing retreats in rural Maine.

in his practice, Luke works with a variety of individuals including the general public, veterans and first responders, and incarcerated individuals. A niche area for Luke is "Grief and Loss", as he incorporates his personal experience, graduate education, and many hours of additional training on helping people integrate grief and loss into positive growth in their lives.

Guerrilla Grief The Men's Grief Manual is an accumulation of Luke's personal and professional experience in which he seeks to guide men through their unique grief and loss journey so that they grow and find purpose in their lives after loss.
