Diabetic Retinopathy Classification Based on Machine Learning

The diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a comorbidity of diabetic's mellitus. The term diabetic is defined as "Irregular protein breakage of glucose (sugar) caused due to insignificant supply of insulin". According to World Health Organization (WHO) report FY 2019-20, it is reported that, 422 million patients have detected positive and have deemed to be "Diabetic" in nature. These patients develop various co- ill'ment and diabetic retinopathy is one such major concerns reported on major share of death rate. The estimated death due to diabetic retinopathy as a major cause is reported to be 39% of 1.6 million deaths caused due to diabetics worldwide. The cause of diabetic retinopathy is due to insignificant supply of blood and oxygen concentration in the retina of human eye. The diabetic retinopathy causes permanent vision impairment or blindness if untreated on timely manners or undetected. The current cure of diabetic retinopathy in later stage is under surgical methodologies. The major cause of diabetic retinopathy being undetected is because, the symptoms and vision impairment is slowly progressed making it unnoticeable.
