Arthur Pineclaw is finally going back home for Christmas.

To film a movie, of course. He'll spend two weeks slumming it in the small town he got out of twelve years ago, and then he's back to his cruisy, uncomplicated life in Los Angeles. Until then he's ready to sign autographs, smile for the cameras and dazzle everybody into loving him. He's made a living out of it, after all. There's no one he can't charm.

Disgruntled cafe owner Emma Curt hasn't seen Arthur Pineclaw in over a decade, and she wants to keep it that way - even if he is lurking around her cafe until Christmas. Everyone is fawning over him, but Emma knows the her ex is still the same smug, empty jerk who left her on Christmas Eve to live a life surrounded by fake people who never call him out on his crap. She's not going to fall for his tricks again.

But old habits die hard. Emma finds herself falling into his bed, getting into the same old arguments and stirring up realizations neither of them were expecting.

They're not the same people they were all those Christmases ago. Maybe that's the gift they've been waiting for...
