An immortal is dead. Murdered. After thousands of years, someone has finally uncovered the secret to destroying the most powerful beings in the world. With their existence now in peril, Wolf and Rafe, two immortals who once used to be called gods, must find the killer.

A series of strange murders have descended on the Bay Area-the victim's flesh inscribed with ambiguous texts in languages ancient and long dead.

But why? And what does it mean?

Uncovering the answers to those questions is not exactly the work Isa anticipated after graduation. But when she's hired by mysterious private detective Lucian Holt, she finds herself applying her uncanny aptitude for Egyptian, Attic Greek, and Latin in a way she never imagined: deciphering the cryptic messages and revealing the motives of the elusive killer. Yet all she finds amidst a jumble of nonsense in these different languages is the same sentence over and over again:

Tell me my name.

How is the murder of one immortal connected to multiple murders in the Bay Area? As Isa digs deeper into the crimes, she comes to learn that this mystery runs far deeper than imagined. And she may just be on the edge of a secret - kept from the world for millennia:

The ancient gods never left. They grew old, then realized they could regain their youth by drinking human blood. Humans later started calling them vampires.

As these powerful beings fight for power and control, Lucian and Isa will have to tread carefully to discover who is behind the murders and why. And as Wolf and Rafe get closer to the killer, they will realize this is more than just a murder.
