The Human has finally been exposed as being the famous Adam Cain.

Now, everyone wants a piece of immortality.

Adam did what he had to do to save his friend Tidus, but in doing so, his secret leaked out. Instead of being known simply as The Human, he's been exposed as the famous Adam Cain, the person who died and was brought back to life by the mutants Panur and Lila. And now the knowledge has found its way to a mysterious secret sect of immortality worshipers who want Adam's secret for their own. And they'll do anything to get it ... even if they have to kill Adam Cain in the process.

Now his friends Arieel, Galena and Tidus, along with the A.I.s Beth and Davy, launch a desperate mission to save Adam ... before it's too late. In the meantime, other forces are after Adam, now that his secret is out of the bag. It seems as if the whole galaxy is coming down on him. Oh well, just a typical day in the life of the Human for Hire.
