The air in the chamber grew heavy, thick with the stench of sulfur and ancient despair. Its eyes burned like molten coals, locking onto the trembling summoner with an intensity that could shatter resolve. Horns curled from its head like twisted obsidian, and its voice, deep and resonant, seemed to vibrate through the very bones of the room.
"You called me here, mortal," it growled, each word laced with a dark power that made the candles flicker and dim. "You tore through the veil between worlds for your petty desires. Now, the price must be paid."
The summoner, a desperate man with a sweat-slick brow, clutched a worn tome to his chest. He stammered, his voice breaking under the weight of his own folly. "I-I only wanted... I needed help. Power to protect what's mine."
The demon's laughter filled the chamber, a sound that was both mocking and otherworldly, echoing in ways that defied logic. "Protection? Power? You think such gifts come without cost?"
It leaned forward, its immense form blotting out the dim light entirely. Smoke curled from its body, a tangible reminder of the abyss it hailed from. "Here is my demand," it hissed, its voice lowering to a guttural growl. "Your soul, stripped bare and bound to my will for eternity. In return, I will grant you what you crave. But know this-what I give, I can take... and what you gain will never fill the void of what you've lost."
The summoner's hands trembled, the weight of the decision crushing him. The room felt colder, darker, as if the shadows themselves were alive, waiting for his answer.
The demon's eyes narrowed, its fiery gaze cutting through the silence. "Choose, mortal. My patience is not infinite, and neither is your time. Power... or nothingness. The decision is yours, but the consequence is mine to deliver."
