In 1970, Frances Morgan, while with her family on a yacht gets caught in a galaxy gate and transported to the Milieu Solar System, to the planet, Canopus, in the Gigas Solus Galaxy. She is separated from her family once she arrives on Canopus in a snowstorm. Now, she must learn to survive without them while living among aliens.
