Agreeing to marry your best friend to get him a lucrative hockey contract while balancing a nationwide tour and keeping feelings off the table is simple. . .I think.

Declan and me have been friends for as long as I can remember. So when he calls me and asks me to marry him to clean up his reputation and save his hotshot hockey career, I agree immediately. He'll be busy with hockey and I'll be away on tour with my band. It'll be easy to keep feelings out of the equation when we don't see each other.

Except the dangers that I thought were long gone and locked up turn out to be roaming free and back after us. Declan leaves my side as little as possible, convinced he can keep me safe. But with his proximity comes all the feelings I've been keeping buried for years.
