Along the way, we follow the lively exchange of letters between xxxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxx and the spokesperson for the Eight Famous Poets of The Wine Cup, then sample "ordinary mind" poems from the Pavilion where thoughts wash away. The author's lifelong love of Classical Chinese literature MADE NEW in translation has led him to believe that between ourselves and The Immortals there exists a true correspondence, one that sees the past in the present, the undead in the living, and vice versa.
