Thornfield

Desperate to escape an abusive home, Charlotte Grey enrols in graduate school at the prestigious Thornfield University to study art history. Charlotte relishes this chance to start over and reinvent herself for the better, but finds that her teaching assistant assignment threatens to throw her new life out of balance. Professor Ellis O'Farrell, the brilliant yet unpleasant art historian Charlotte is assigned to work with, seems to bring out the very worst in her, her shameful past threatening to rise to the surface. As the two begin to bond over shared traumas Charlotte is in danger of falling under the professor's spell.

About the Author: Meagan's MA and BA in Classics have taken her on many adventures: attending a week-long conference speaking exclusively in Latin, living with archaeologists in Rome, delivering a paper on Greek tragedy at a conference at Oxford, and searching for the Sphinx in modern Thebes.
