So as Grandma forgets my name,

I write about pride and shame, life and death, choices made and impressions left.

Starlight, starbright, wish I may, wish I might,

Not forget my days, not give up the fight,

And burn a little before the oncoming of night.

Thank you for your help.

I learned about myself.

Now I leave Paradise,

and need to learn about everything else.

Love, loss, and sweet despair;

Fire, clay, and the weight of care:

All I thought and didn't say,

as remembered days slip away. -
