In each "Obie's Amazing Kids" book, Obie visits a new friend in their very own dream, while sleeping. In each story, he shares an adventure with the child where they nave a marvelous time together. Obie, sensing the child struggling with some type of life challenge, offers his wisdom in a caring and loving way, which ultimately helps build self-esteem and self-worth within his new friend.

Tonight's story begins with a kind-hearted little 10 year old, named, Lucia.

The day was thrilling! Lucia enjoyed her ice cream cone with cherry sprinkles. As she watched her friends laugh and scream with excitement on the roller coaster and the big Ferris wheel, however, Lucia's shoulders slumped. If only she had been able to ride on them too.

Later that evening, as the sun's glow dipped below the horizon, something extraordinary would happen in Lucia's world - something she would remember forever.
