This is the true story of how I found myself trapped in a medical mystery, with the answers to my fate buried in my own mind. It's the true story of how I went to the desert with a death sentence, and came home a cyborg.

This is my story, but it's also a gen X story. We are the one generation who started out on dirt roads and are now navigating the information superhighway... and the apocalypse. We are the generation who have faced down our monsters since the moment we found our voices and we will keep shouting until the monsters are silenced.
