I told myself I wouldn't do it. I really did, but not only did I fall for the playgirl, I actually was brave enough to admit it! Out loud. To her!

Only, she didn't reciprocate. The rejection stung, but only because it wasn't even true. I know she loves me, and that's not me being in denial or wishing.

That's the truth. Cold, hard facts.

The problem is she's so afraid of being hurt, she won't let love in. I'm going to change that. She's going to admit it. I'm not giving her a choice.

This entire time, I've played by her rules. Now, it's her turn to follow mine. She thinks things will go her way, but she has no idea what I have in store!

She was mine. Mine. But when it came down to admitting my feelings, to giving her what she needed, I choked. I've never choked on anything a day in my life, but eight little letters is what does it?

Now, I have to win her back. Problem is she's not going to make it easy. Don't get me wrong: We all know I love a challenge, but it's like she evolved when I wasn't looking. When I first met her, she was this sweet little kitten who blushed at every look I gave her. Somehow, she's become a full-grown lynx, one that knows how to tease and tempt me.

How did I let her turn the tables? How did I let her become so deeply rooted under my skin? How was it I didn't just want her --- I needed her.

Mel thinks she controls the game, and I'll let her continue to think that, but at the end of the day, she'll be begging for me again. I'll have her right back where I want her in no time at all. After all, no one escapes my thorns!
