After holding her high seat for five years, the honorable Courtney Jones has officially retired from the United States Federal bench and ready to ride off into the sunset and finally enjoy life on her own terms. Just as she prepares for beach days and peace of mind, her plans come to a sudden, violent halt.

Five years earlier, Courtney and her sister Kandy devised a deadly scheme and flooded the tri-state area with a fentanyl-laced heroin stamped with the mark, Red Scorpion Death. Anthony Garcia, the new leader of the Mexican Mafia, finds out Courtney Jones was the one responsible. His first hit was just a warning. The second failed. Now something-or someone-close to Courtney has gone silent, and things are starting to spiral.
