The Nihilist Overture

For over twenty years, E.B. Roland gathered his thoughts into a collection of poems and songs that he hid away, never intending to publish. He began writing through the chaotic ups and downs of drunkenness with fragments of his nihilistic ideas rising to the surface. Then he stopped drinking.

Roland's work expresses carelessness, irreverence, and vulnerability, offering this unique and accessible collection of writing which maps his journey out of addiction, into sobriety, where nihilism becomes a choice rather than a self prescribed affliction. In his abstinence, Roland finds another voice which has been entombed at the bottom of brown bottles for so many years.
