Prophetic dreams lead Hazel, a sheltered and sweet, book-smart young mage from Arkansas, to Saint Elias University to find her mother. Her counterpart, Gwen, a smart-mouthed, out of control therian raised in hiding in Maine, needs the knowledge at SEU to gain control over the beast within-before it controls her.
