Informal labour market

The paper examines the essence and significance of the informal labour market in the context of the emerging market economy in the Republic of Tajikistan. It provides a detailed analysis of the historical and socio-economic preconditions for the formation of the informal labour market before and during the period of socialist construction, as well as an analysis of the professional qualifications and educational composition of the informal labour market workforce. The paper examines the quantitative characteristics and structure of the workforce in the informal labour market by gender and age. It provides the motives for the inclusion of the workforce in the informal labour market, as well as the sources of formation and the mechanism of functioning of the informal labour market using the example of the Republic of Tajikistan. The paper analyses the prospects for the development of the informal labour market in the Republic of Tatarstan.
