Moscow, 1921. As Lenin's New Economic Policy creates new opportunities, men begin disappearing from the horse markets-traders, farmers, merchants carrying cash for legitimate purchases. Forced to leave Russia, he publishes the complete account from exile, ending with a warning from Moscow-new bodies are appearing. New patterns emerging. New predators operating.
