In her article 'The Circus of Fashion', fashion journalist Suzy Menkes also criticised the peacocking of bloggers in front of the tents at Fashion Week, the free-riding mentality of many bloggers and their lost critical independence. Why are fashion authorities such as Anna Wintour and Suzy Menkes attacking fashion bloggers? Media representatives suspect that their reactions are triggered by a feeling of threat from fashion bloggers. An empirical analysis will be used to assess the mutual perception of fashion bloggers and fashion journalists in Germany.
