In Broken Logic Units, Myla moves through friendships that look solid on the surface but feel fragile underneath. Around her are friends who feel steady and others who feel unpredictable, people who stay close and others who drift without explanation.

As Myla grows older, the social world around her becomes harder to navigate. Laughter can feel sharp. Kindness can feel conditional. Belonging can feel temporary. She begins to sense that the invisible logic holding her friendships together is not as stable as she once believed, that some connections are bending, flickering, or misaligned.

Through school corridors, canteen tables, classrooms, and a tense camping trip, Myla tries to keep her balance while it feels like she is literally tiptoeing over emotional eggshells. She watches how power shifts between people, how rumours travel quietly, and how quickly the atmosphere can change without warning. All the while, she holds onto the friends and family who keep her grounded, even as anxiety hums beneath everyday moments.

Broken Logic Units is a story woven from my life experiences about friendship, growing up, and living with anxiety that you cannot always point to or prove. It is about learning to walk carefully in a world that does not feel safe, while still trying to stay true to yourself.
