Eleven patents for inventions related to the production of cellular materials of the future are described. A concept for the computer-aided design of lightweight cast metal structures with a honeycomb structure has been developed. Based on an analysis of the structures of inorganic substances as presented by the natural sciences, cellular structures for cast metal products have been proposed, modeled after the structure of crystalline and amorphous structures, diamond, the structure of quasi-crystals based on Penrose tilings and carbon nanotubes, as well as methods for manufacturing foam models for them in the foundry. The designs of the castings and the method for assembling model clusters on multi-tiered collectors are based on the botanical phenomenon of phyllotaxis, using models from fractal geometry analogous to tree-like structures and the structure of DNA. Models of skeleton and cellular castings are presented that optimally fill the space within the sand mold, along with their fabrication based on the theory of minimal surfaces, analogous to the structure of foam with cells in the form of pentagonal dodecahedrons. The paper describes a method for modeling shell structures based on the sagging of a thermoplastic film and a method for continuous casting of cellular structures using single-use models on a conveyor.
