Despite what its name proclaims, this ocean is not peaceful at all.
In addition to the cyclones and monsoons that can form from its waters, the famous Ring of Fire extends along its edges, an area with intense seismic and volcanic activity due to its position on the unstable places of contact between important tectonic plates, such as the Pacific, Nazca, Philippine, Australian and North American plates.
In turn, around the Ring of Fire there are numerous ocean trenches, the deepest abysses in the ocean, including the Challenger Trench.
Other graves that surround the seismic belt are: Aleutian Trench, Japan Trench, Tonga Trench, Mesoamerican Trench, and Peru-Chile Trench.
The Pacific is the scene where a great number of civilizations and cultures have developed and evolved.
