Every baseball player dreams of a second chance. Huckleberry is given one during the Major League baseball lockout of 1990. Huck gets an opportunity to play in Sweden to promote the game in Europe and compete in the Swedish Eliteserien with a scout and coach from the Chicago White Sox, Dave Clark. Huckleberry prepares and Sweden dominates the club tournament of champions, and he gets his ticket to the USA and his shot at the American Baseball Dream of playing for his hometown team. The journey takes a twist when he meets a father/son from Cologne, West Germany at the European tournament of champions held in Sweden. They 'know' Nolan should follow them to West Germany and pitch the Cologne Dodgers to their destiny. 1990 is a historic year of change and history is rushing through Germany as the Berlin Wall is coming down, and East and West Germany have a chance to become one again without millions dying in war. Huck was always a Political Scientist first and a ballplayer a close second. Huckleberry takes the path least logical and goes to Munich to pitch against the Brewers and lives a dream. He helps the CIA and the KGB win the great cold war as Saddam invades Kuwait and East and West Germany becomes one. The Cologne Dodgers play the undefeated Berlin Challengers in the semi-finals as the Dodgers try and bring the first ever Baseballmeister to Cologne!
