Zaza, a third-grade girl, discovers that the family is planning to go on vacation to celebrate her terrific grades and the promotions of her mom and dad at work. The family has to move from Santa Barbara to a new town in California. Zaza is anxious about having to leave her friends and familiar surroundings. Her parents try to reassure her that she will be fine. Zaza is unsure of that until the family arrives at Kauai, Hawaii, for their vacation. She meets Henry, a highly intelligent rooster whot to help her with a plan for dynamic interactions with people that will be useful throughout her life.
