In a library that exists outside ordinary time, stories are not merely written-they are imprisoned. The Archivum is a vast, impossible sanctuary of calcified clouds, endless shelves, silver chains, and glass vials containing the feathers and memories of Divine Birds. At its center stands Julian Mercer, the Last Book, a living manuscript whose body carries the stories, instincts, and memories of creatures that the outside world has long forgotten.Julian was created to preserve the Archivum, but preservation has become another word for imprisonment.
