Heroes have to share the world with the rest of us
Ever wondered what happens to everybody else while the fellowship is off saving creation? Vesperil is a collaborative novel in which eight authors for once put everyday people in the foreground. This meticulously planned shared world project tells the stories of ordinary folk - while an epic quest happens in the background. Drawing on jointly-developed millenia of history, herbaries, bestiaries, maps, and more, Vesperil illuminates the life of the remote community that just happens to end up at the center of the greatest quest in their world's history. Chock full of drama and humor, here are short stories, novelettes, illustrations, grimoires, folk tales, snippets of gossip, and much more.
