商品簡介
This book is concerned with two-phase flow models consisting of the compressible isothermal Euler (or Navier-Stokes) equations coupled with the compressible (or incompressible) Navier-Stokes equations through a drag forcing term. The Euler-Navier-Stokes system can be formally derived from the barotropic compressible Navier-Stokes-Vlasov- Fokker-Planck equations with a local alignment force, which is used to describe the interactions between particles and fluid. Recently, this type of the kinetic-fluid system has attracted growing attention due to a very large range of applications, for example, biotechnology and medicine, and in the study of sedimentation phenomena, compressibility of droplets of the spray, and diesel engines, etc. We believe that this book will find attention in advanced master's and PhD students and researchers in the mathematical study of the Euler-Navier-Stokes system for a two-phase fluid flow model.
