帶鋼熱連軋過程具有工序眾多、工況頻變、多系統耦合等特點，這給對其運行工況進行有效的監測和評估帶來一定困難。常見的方法是從數據出發對生產過程數據進行特徵提取，並利用提取的特徵構建監測和評估模型，當該過程生產產品不斷切換導致工況不斷變化時，所提取的特徵往往不足以反映該過程特性，進而導致工況評估錯誤。基於以上問題，本書創新性地設計了基於共性-個性特徵建模的熱連軋過程特徵分析框架，並提出了多種特徵建模方法。同時，基於所構建的特徵模型，實現熱連軋過程工況的評估，並進行應用驗證。本書所包含的主要內容有：（1）帶鋼熱連軋過程簡介，分析熱連軋過程的特點，並以數據為基礎，展示熱連軋過程多工況運行特性；（2）帶鋼熱連軋過程常見的故障及異常的工況，分析該過程運行工況特點、異常工況的特性及導致的原因；（3）熱連軋過程故障注入系統，設計開發熱連軋精軋過程故障注入系統，實現對不同異常工況的仿真分析；（4）提出熱連軋過程特徵建模框架及工況評估方法，構建基於共性-個性特徵建模的特徵分析框架，利用空間分析、三維張量建模、深度置信網絡等多種分析方法實現基於共性-個性特徵建模的分析方法，同時提出相應的異常工況評估方法；（5）原型系統方法驗證，利用實際的熱連軋數據驗證方法的有效性，構建驗證原型系統，利用實驗室實時數據驗證方法的實用性。
