亞歷山大·蒲柏（Alexander Pope, 1688-1744），十八世紀最偉大的英國詩人，《牛津名言詞典》（The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations）收載條目第二多的詩人（僅次於莎士比亞），畢生勤於著述，擅多種題材文體。學識豐贍，才氣縱橫，洞燭世態人心，作品中妙語警句俯拾即是，許多都成為了英語世界的成語，例如“Hope springs eternal”（希望之泉永不竭）、“To err is human, to forgive,divine”（犯錯是人性，寬宥是神性）、“A little learning is a dang'rous thing”（一知半解害死人）、“Damning with faint praise”（名褒實貶）、“Fools rush in where angels fear to tread”（無知者無畏）。後輩詩人拜倫是對蒲柏五體投地：“無論時間或空間，哀痛或衰年，都永遠不能減損我對他的崇敬。他是偉大的諷喻詩人，規箴一切時代、一切風土、一切情感，以及生存的一切階段。他是我少時的歡樂，壯歲的志趣，或許還會成為我暮年（假使我有幸活到暮年的話）的慰藉。他的詩篇，便是人生的寶典。”蒲柏《呆廝國誌》是一部諷刺史詩，初刊於1728 年，最終版刊行於1743 年，前後歷時十五年，稱之為蒲柏畢生心血結晶，絕非過甚之辭。此詩以虛擬的“呆廝女神”為線索，鋪敘社會日趨粗鄙的頹敗進程，尖銳抨擊文藝市場化、低俗化、政治化的時弊，嬉笑怒駡，酣暢淋漓，直筆寫出一部活色生香的大不列顛墮落史，堪稱西方諷刺史詩的里程碑式巨製。這部詩作帶來莫大的聲名，同時給蒲柏招來了無數敵人，致使他餘生楚歌四面、怨謗隨身。文學史上稱許為“英語詩歌史上最引人入勝、最獨樹一幟的作品”的《呆廝國誌》，也許翻譯難度太大，直至現在牛津終於能出版給中文讀者。

本書為107年度文化體驗計畫執行成果：第一章，核心架構理念；第二章，計畫設計和執行紀錄；第三章，參與觀課委員從自身專業分享觀看文化體驗課程之見聞。厚實的文化底蘊是創造力的基礎。為從根本提升國人的文化藝術素養，正視在地性文化的價值、培養國人欣賞能力心，文化部文化體驗教育計劃結合文化體系與教育體系相關資源，使課程及體驗內容更臻完善。促使藝術、文化、教育理念融合於生活之中，相互依存、共榮共生，讓現有的藝術與文化系統和教育環境，產生實質對話與學習典範。文化體驗教育計畫的推動，是希望將國內藝術文化團體各自豐沛的專業資源和能量，延伸轉化為學習內容，讓廣大學子有機會在現有學校課程外，可以感受、接觸、親近藝術文化的沃土。讓藝術和文化的學習與體驗，能跳脫傳統學習偏好的系統化、單向知識傳蝓的認知學習模式。透過具體的身體經驗、感受，開啟個體與生活、世界的連結管道，進而從現有生活經驗出發，覺察所在場域的文化藝術特色，以期創造學習者對自我、他人、社會和世界真實的 （authentic）知識和感性。也就是透過藝術的學習 (learning through art)創造真實的知識和深化的學習。同時，文化藝術工作者與校內教師合作，共同成為引領學生學習的教學藝術家 (teaching artists)，強化教學的藝術性，視教學為一項藝術創作，與學生共創深刻內化的學習經驗。計畫中，國立臺北藝術大學 （以下稱北藝大）扮演「陪伴/培力」角色配合文化部四個區域資源中心—新竹生活美學館、彰化生活美學館、臺南生活美學館、臺東生活美學館（以下簡稱生美館）—作為合作協力平台，串聯文化藝術工作者及文化藝術團體，與學校合作發展出具文化藝術特色、以學習者為主體的體驗學習課程方案。讓參與者得以經歷，有别於傳統課堂學習方式的文化藝術體驗、欣賞、感知、創作等不同階段與層次。

Much has been written in charity law on the type of benefits that charities can provide - charitable purposes - and towards whom such benefits must be directed - the public benefit question. Almost nothing has been written about when benefits must be provided. However, accumulation of assets by charities raises profound ethical, economic and social considerations that are highlighted by the present retreat of the welfare state and the impact of the Global Financial Crisis and COVID-19. This book analyses the issue through a normative, doctrinal and comparative analysis of the legal constraints upon accumulation by charities. It reveals that the legal restraints contain significant gaps in relation to the intergenerational distribution of benefits and to the balance of decision-making between generations. In particular, the book asserts that there is room for law reform to better identify and incorporate principles of intergenerational justice into the regulation of charities.
