商品簡介

This first comprehensive book to cover the expanding field of bioorganometallics represents the perfect starting point for beginners but also an excellent source of high quality information for experts in the field.
Edited by a pioneer in the field with an excellent standing within the community, this book begins with the history of bioorganometallics, before going on to cover pharmaceuticals, bioorganometallic chemistry and radiopharmaceuticals.
A must for bioinorganic chemists, the pharmaceutical industry, chemists working in organometallics and biochemists.

作者簡介

Gérard Jaouen he set up the CNRS URA (Associated Research Unit) N° 403, and the UMR 7576 in 1997, of which he is the director. He is now appointed as an exceptional class professor and has been elected as a member of the CNRS national Committee in 1991 and 1995.
Professor Jaouen is the author of 300 papers and 14 reviews, and holds 10 patents. His achievements in bioorganometallic chemistry has been recognized by the French Academy of Sciences in 1996, (J. Reynaud award) Moreover he has been elected to the prestigious and elitist "Institut Universitaire de France" in 1997.

"It should find a place on all library shelves and will no doubt be a routine reference text for specialists in this field." (Journal of Medicinial Chemistry, August 10, 2006)
"…an interesting and valuable resource for those who wish to learn more about the progress and challenges that face the emerging field of bioorganometallic chemistry." (Journal of the American Chemical Society, August 2, 2006)
"...an excellent source of information on a rapidly developing field. It is therefore highly recommended to all researchers active in or interested in this area." (Angewandte Chemie International Edition)

"In essence the book is aimed at biochemists and chemists. The former will find many of the articles in the core of the text, detailing the use of organometallics as bioprobes, to be highly informative, providing a useful historical background and a description of the current synergy between organometallic chemistry and bioscience."
