Most of the technical information about communication jamming is in the literature about communication, usually in a chapter near the end on avoiding. A senior engineer with a missile company, Poisel presents a technical reference for engineers and scientists who want to jam communications. The signals of concern are anti-jam signals, mostly direct-sequence spread spectrum, and frequency-hop spread spectrum signals. They are pretty good, he says, but not absolutely invulnerable. He points out their weak spots. The context of his study is military communications, and the second edition reflects the shift in emphasis of electronic warfare from open field to urban environments.
