GERHARD BOSCH is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institute for Work and Skills (IAQ) at Duisberg-Essen University, Germany. He has published widely in the areas of comparative working time, industrial relations, vocational training, pay and employment systems.
STEFFEN LEHNDORFF is Head of Research Department of the Institute for Work and Skills (IAQ) at the University of Duisberg-Essen, Germany. His major areas of interest include international comparative studies on employment, work organization and industrial relations in services and manufacturing. He is the Co-ordinator of several major EU projects.
JILL RUBERY is Deputy Director for Human Resources and Professor of Comparative Employment Systems at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK. She has published widely in the areas of comparative employment systems, gender relations, low pay, working time and welfare arrangements. She is a fellow of the British Academy.
