Ruth is the author of the highly successful 6+1 Traits of Writing: The Complete Guide for the Primary Grades, Scholastic, Inc. 2005, as well as the companion books 40 Reproducible Forms for the Writing Traits Classroom, Writing to Prompts in the Trait-Based Classroom: Literature Response, and Writing to Prompts in the Trait-Based Classroom: Content Areas (with Amanda Wheeler).
