商品簡介
Seven original essays contextualize Rabbinic Judaism by emphasizing that the framers of Rabbinic thought were in conversation with cultures different from their as well as with their own tradition. The contributors, who are identified only by name, explore texts from the first century before the Common Era through late antiquity to the Middle Ages to challenge assumptions about Judaism during and after the Second Temple period.
