商品簡介
Adams (history and international relations, Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, New York) combines his interests in intelligence and counter-intelligence and in Germany to produce a reference for scholars in either field. He includes Austrian, Baltic, and Sudenten German officials and institutions, but Swiss Germans only when they interact with non-Swiss Germans. He does not include resistance to Nazi rule unless it is connected in some way with intelligence services. Chronologically, he begins with the first Habsburg police force in 1782, and proceeds to 2009 and the exposure of West Berlin policeman Karl-Heinz Kurras as a former Stasi agent. The entries encompass German and foreign figures, operations, agencies, documents, and other elements of the skulduggery. There is no index.
