商品簡介
Counter to poplar conception, most police records are not shared between agencies. This book reports on research on the value of information sharing in policing. The research encompasses several types of data and observations from the study of the Florida Integrated Network for Data Exchange and Retrieval (FINDER), one of the nation's few operational police information sharing systems. The value of sharing low-level police information is measured in terms of FINDER's contributions to successful policing outcomes for its 1,600 users. In addition, a variety of user-specific factors are examined to estimate their influence on FINDER-related successes. Scott is a retired law enforcement veteran. He has been involved in the development and expansion of FINDER since its inception. Annotation c2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
