Web 2.0-Based E-Learning: Applying Social Informatics for Tertiary Teaching

This collection considers the potential value of emerging social software tools for learners in the new millennium and describes pedagogy applications of the new technologies in higher education. The contributions propose a model for learner-generated contexts, personal learning environments, activities for developing personal knowledge management skills, and future online learning scenarios. Case studies report on the integration of wikis in foreign language courses and teacher education programs, self-motivated blogging to support study and research skills, and podcasts as a supplement for distance learning.
