商品簡介
Unlike research on the Holocaust from a macro perspective on the perpetrators, the national/regional case studies in this project take a micro-historical approach to try to further understanding of the Nazi persecution of the Jews. Kosmala (German Resistance Memorial Center, Berlin) and Verbeeck (German history, Katholieke U., Leuven, Belgium; Maastricht U., the Netherlands) introduce six comparative case studies by international contributors that treat the complex interplay between Jewish victims and non-Jewish perpetrators and others. E.g., one case study examines differences in the Aryanization process in France and the Slovak state from 1939-45; another compares Holocaust remembrance/denial in Belgium and Romania.
