商品簡介
A result of the conference Geometrical Structures of Phase Space in Multidimensional Chaos--Applications to Chemical Reaction Dynamics in Complex Systems, held in October and November 2003 at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics at Kyoto U., in Japan, this two-volume publication contains 27 articles by academics and researchers in Japan, the US, and Europe. Topics include regularity in chaotic transitions on two-basin landscapes, a classical Coulomb three-body problem, classical mechanism of multidimensional barrier tunneling, a revised approach to Wigner's dynamical perspective, coarse-grained picture for controlling quantum chaos and onset dynamics of phase transition in Ar7, and heat transport in molecules and reaction kinetics. Eight articles are included on new directions in multidimensional chaos and evolutionary reactions, including the role of chaos for inert and reacting transport and slow relaxation in Hamiltonian systems with internal degrees of freedom. Both volumes contain the preface and an author and a subject index. Annotation c2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
