Challenging US Human Rights Violations Since 9/11

While violations of US law and international treaties are hardly unknown in the histories of US presidencies, the brazenness and scope of these violations under the administration of George W. Bush, often justified in the name of the "War no Terror," have been truly breathtaking. This report compiled by Ginger (executive director, Meiklejohn Civil Liberties Institute) attempts to catalogue every type of government violation of law from the September 11th attacks to November of 2004; lay out government's proper duties with regards to the Constitution, the Law of Nations, and the Laws of War; and detail the strategies being pursued by individuals and groups to redress the situation and hold the US government accountable.
