Siamak Najarian received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Oxford University, England. He serves as Professor and Dean of Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Techlogy in Tehran. Dr. Najarian''s research interests are the applications of artificial tactile sensing (especially in robotic surgery) and design of artificial organs. His McGraw-Hill book, Artificial Tactile Sensing in Biomedical Engineering, was a 2009 PROSE Awards finalist in the Engineering and Techlogy category. Javad Dargahi, Ph.D., is associate professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Concordia in Montreal. He is co-author of Artificial Tactile Sensing in Biomedical Engineering. Goldis Darbemamieh is a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Amirkabir University of Techlogy, Tehran.
