Produced by the Association for Women in Slavic Studies, this two-volume bibliography documents the breadth of gender and women's studies focused on Eastern Europe and Eurasia. The bibliography lists works in English and other languages and includes citations of unpublished graduate work and online resources. In addition to covering the scholarship on women and gender issues, it also includes works that are about individual women of Eastern Europe and Eurasia. A large number of the entries are annotated to include brief descriptions of major works and tables of contents for collections and anthologies. No limitations of historical era have been imposed. The first volume covers the Gypsy/Roma and Jewish diasporas, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Ottoman Turkey, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Yugoslavia, the German Democratic Republic, the Hapsburg Monarchy, Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Central and Eastern Europe as a region. The second volume covers Russia, the non-Russian peoples of Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan and also includes a number of regional sections.
